Summer break is coming up soon, and I am saving up to go spend some cash on watching the movies that will come out this summer. The movies that are coming out all seem to have potential, so I decided to check them out.
1) Toy Story 3
Although many of you out there may think that this movie is childish, I'm sure that many fans have been anticipating this movie ever since the Toy Story series first came out.
2) Predators
Predator 1 was a fantastic movie, but I have to admit the franchise slowly went downhill after the first. However, I want to put hope in this series, and wish for its success. To tell you the truth, the idea of rock hard marines fighting a technologically superior predator is pretty cool, no matter how you view it.
3) A - Team
The most anticipated movie of the year. I present to you, the A-Team.

Animal Farm
This movie was terrible. This movie gave me nightmares. This movie had terrible graphics. This movie had no real plot. This movie had a bad setting. This movie had bad voice actors. This movie helped me on my English test. This movie showed me the light? After reading the book Animal Farm for the fifth time, I got really bored and decided to watch the film version of it! Although a terrible film, I felt I had to tell you guys about it because it really helps you study for the test. Of course, only watching this movie is a terrible idea, but if you happen to have some free time, I recommend you watch this movie. It is on youtube and its in pretty good quality. Hope all of you get A's!

Saving Private Ryan
To try to spare myself from researching about D-Day, I decided to simply watch a historical movie about it. This must be a secret kept from my history teacher! Unless he sees this blog, I will trust you viewers to keep your silence. Saving Private Ryan was very graphic and intense and emotional. I also heard that it was the most realistic view of the the epic battle that ensured during World War 2. The artillary, the machine guns, the dead soldiers, all managed to keep me hooked for the better part of the movie. I have to admit the other subplots were a bit dull, but they were still watchable. For those of you who do not know, this movie is about a squad in World War 2 who is looking for a missing soldier named Ryan. They journey across Europe in order to find this soldier, and in the end they succeed. However, they face many obstacles, and not all of them manage to survive until the end. I really recommend this movie for all the people who find history dull because I find this movie great!

Rush Hour
The movie Rush Hour was a hour and a half long show of racism, violence, and offensive language. Thus, I could not help but love every minute of it. This movie was what I consider to be close to a masterpiece. Being Asian myself, I get easily offended over racist jokes. However, Rush Hour's racism still was able to get me laughing out loud. After I saw the first movie, I could not help myself but to see the second and third.
For those of you who didn't see it, the plot is about a Chinese man and a black man. Do I need to say more? The two of them, despite their differences manage to work together proficiently and form an air of brotherhood. Thus, I really think this movie is something you must see.

No Time For Movies?
Lately I had no time for movies, so nowadays I'm getting frustrated. Movies used to be a big part of my life, but being in highschool is keeping me from pursuing my hobby. Thus, I fear that mt hobby for watching movies will have to stop, and I will have to take up something less time consuming. So now I'm stuck with two options. Give up movies or give up my grades. Personally, I am not willing to give up both, so i decided to devise a plan. It would be to build a time machine and go to the past and do my homework and watch a movie at the same time. However, seeing that is impossible, I guess I'll just have to make-do by studying harder and watch movies either late at night or on the school bus.

Ghandi
We're learning about Ghandi in my history class, so I decided to take the time to watch the movie "Ghandi." While watching this movie, I was able to feel a connection between school and entertainment, something I rarely felt in my entire life. Thus, I can say that although this movie lacks the high packed action I usually enjoy, it was time well spent watching this. I was able to learn about how India was oppressed after The Great War, and how hard life was for the people there. The plot of the movie follows Ghandi from when he was in school to when he turns old. He stresses in fighting the enemy but not through violence. I learned so much today and feel enlightened. I recommend this movie to all history geeks like me!
